So I was referred to Shannon by my girlfriend.... I know what you're thinking, this is going to be a biased review, but honestly, that's not my style, and if you don't trust me, maybe read some of my other reviews. I have been recommended professionals by friends before, such as accountants and even a lawyer once, and honestly, they have all been such terrible experiences that I was tentative to even reach out to Shannon. It took me about two months before I finally reached out. I started a business young, without the knowledge that you come to learn over years of messing things up, and I definitely had my fair share of that. You usually focus on the business part, the thing you are passionate about, nobody tells you the hours you put in learning and doing things you didn't even realize come along with business ownership. From corrupted QuickBooks files, to accountants I thought didn't want to help me, I admittedly ended up not filing for a few years. These things get daunting to deal with and push thru sometimes. The first response from Shannon quickly portrayed who she was, a kind professional who really enjoys what it is she does.....(I know, right lol), but it's true. I'm glad that I kept an open mind and reached out, as she was well spoken, concise, and very thorough. Shannon walked me thru every step of creating a new set of books to clean things up and start fresh. She set me up with a slimmer CoA that made sense, and even implemented expense tracking per project so that I can have more financial reporting to give me a better perspective on where my funds are going, and where I might be able to save. She answered all of my questions and the barrage of emails I sent asking fairly detailed questions one after another. I felt heard when I spoke with her, and she gave me the guidance and confidence for my businesses finances thru a better and cleaner set of books. If you've made it this far, you clearly are looking for some help with your bookkeeping, and I think you have come to the right place. This is just my story, YMMV, but definitely worth reaching out in my opinion.

I was looking for a new Quick Books pro to help me at my business so I took to the internet and came across Budding Business Bookkeeping. I reached out to them and Shannon promptly returned my call. After a brief discussion she was able to determine a direction to take and do research on my behalf to see if a new payroll company could import our payroll data into our QB file and still maintain accurate job costing reporting. Shannon was extremely proactive and was present during a sales call with the payroll company sales rep. Shannon went pretty deep with the sales associate and during that time, although some of their conversation was over my head, It was clear that Shannon was representing my company as if she was an employee in charge of all my payroll. She asked pointed questions and dug deep to make sure their service would work nicely and at the end, Shannon gave me a full report broken down so that I could understand it. The decision was now in my hands.
